Why do we need to protect ourselves from blue light?

Blue light is naturally emitted by the sun, and can also be found through artificial light sources such as mobile phones, televisions and indoor lighting fixtures.

While not all blue light is harmful, prolonged exposure to blue-violet light can potentially cause eye strains and disrupt sleep quality.
